Great for Mario Kart Wii
I purchased this for my 11 year old daughter, as she wanted a "real" racing wheel with pedals for the Wii. It was easy to set up (just plug it in) and, it worked right away. After launching Mario Kart Wii with the wii remote, the Thrustmaster wheel functions like an additional wii remote for choosing characters and races. The pedals work for acceleration and braking, and, I find that the racing wheel has a nice feel to it. It can be set to one of two sensitivity settings.
I also found a sheet showing the button presets for Mario Kart on the Thrustmater support website. For instance, the brake pedal also functions as a drift button. My daughter loves it. She races with my 14 year old son, who uses the Wii wheel that came with the game. But they both prefer using the Thrustmaster racing wheel, as it is easier to use and more "fun," than the standard Wii wheel.

Good racing wheel. Great racing wheel for the price.
I ordered this last week for playing GRID on my PS3. When I took it out of the box, I was a little worried because the wheel is so small compared to one I had for my Xbox. But after clamping it to a table and firing up GRID, my worries are gone. The choice I had was between this wheel for $30 or a Logitech wheel for $150. I'm not sure what a $150 wheel does for you but this one works well with my PS3, will work with my Wii, and makes playing GRID much more fun.

Not really compatible with Wii.
I purchased this wheel cuz the description stated it worked with all game platforms and I have a Wii. When I received it and read the instructions this wheel only will work with downloaded virtual games for the Wii with use of the classic controller. Needless to say I sent it back.

Great solution if your PS3 is far from your router.
I have Vista Home Premium and the setup is easy. By following all the instructions, it took me about 10 minutes and we are ready to do a system update on the 40G PS3.

One warning that i got while setting up. The warning was telling me to change my default gateway address to 192.168.1.1 in order to work. Dont worry. Just close the warning sign and find the setup wi-fi application again and retry it. After 3 tries, we eventually got it working without changing the default gateway.

Doesn't work
It installed fine, the setup instructions are very straight forward and provide helpful pictures. But despite my PS3 with built-in wifi being in the next room, my PS3 couldn't pick up the signal (just everyone else's in the area). My guess is for this to work it has to be in the same room, since it doesn't seem to have much range, but if that were the case you might as well just get an ethernet cord.

Wicked Cool PS3 Internet Access - Even from Remote Signal
For anyone who has a home network with one or more PCs connected to the Internet remotely by USB adapter -- this PS3 WiFI Key WILL WORK with the remote computers that aren't directly connected (by ethernet cable) to the Internet! Your PC doesn't need to be hard wired to the web. And I get a 100% signal at all times using a D-Link Rangebooster N USB adapter that is two floors down from the main computer.

Setting up the correct network connections on the PS3 is easy and simple directions are provided. I've used this Key both with and without a router and it never fails to work. Somebody mentioned in an earlier review that you are asked to change the IP address of your router. The workaround mentioned does work! This is an amazing little gadget.

Not what is says
I purchased this because IGN rated it very well. It looked like an excellent unit and would do exactly what I want. It stated that it uses an adapter that plugs into the PS3 to allow both the PS3 and this unit to receive power. This would allow the unit to charge your controllers while the PS3 is turned off. Perfect, no need for an extra cord.

The other feature is the 3 port USB hub. It states in the description "A USB Hub fed by the consoles power cable for: Compatibility with any power feed (from 100 to 240 Volts) from any country" This is where things get bad. That statement is totally incorrect. The USB hub is NOT powered by the consoles power cable, it is powered by plugging it into the consoles USB port. In order for you to use the extra 3 ports the console has to be on and the unit has to be plugged into one of the front USB ports. That's absolutely ridiculous. If it's already plugged into the wall, why doesn't it get the power from wall outlet to power the 3 USB ports? So if you want to plug another controller, or headset, or whatever into one of those ports in order to charge it, you have to turn the PS3 on and have it plugged into one of the front USB ports. This defeats the whole purpose! There is a note in the instruction booklet about that, but they fail to tell you that on the description or even the box.

As far as the unit functioning, it does function properly. It just doesn't function as stated in the description. The controllers are a bit of a pain to attach to the unit and the entire unit itself is a bit on the flimsy side. The plug adapter that goes onto the back of the PS3 is big as well and it caused the PS3 to stick out too far in my entertainment center. That, however, isn't the fault of the device.

I was very disappointed with this unit because it had a lot of promise. It didn't use an extra power cord to charge, it was nice looking, but the USB hub power is a deal breaker. If you're going to have it plug into a wall outlet, then that should be all that's required. This will be sent back to Amazon and I will continue to look for something else.

Very Disappointing
I bought this wheel with GT5 as a combo package for PS3 gaming.
First off it didn't work with PS3 so I sent it back and they sent me the exact same product. This time there was a note saying I needed an extra adapter to make it work on PS3. I had to send a receipt proving I bought the thing. Four months after buying it, I could finally use it. Setup at first was simple enough. But now everytime I hook it up, it needs three or four rests, controller settings etc. before I'm off to the track. Now it has decided to randomly change controller settings DURING the races!
RUN AWAY FROM THIS WHEEL! And truthfully, I'm so disappointed, I doubt I'll buy another brand to replace it. Another reason I'm SO glad I'm not enthralled with any of the gamiing. Lousy hardware like this makes it VERY difficulat to want to try.

The little controller that could
I'm a southpaw player who couldn't play many modern AAA titles due to not being considered when the games were designed-enter this FULLY PROGRAMABLE
controller. You simply press map then the button / stick direction where you want it and vola it's set how you want it.

If there's an issue with the pad at all it's the overall size is smaller
than a regular dual shock which is great for left handed kids but will take
some adjusting for those used to standard sized controllers...not a deal
breaker since without it i can't play ratchet,dead space,assissans creed,metal gear or gta 4.

ANYTHING that requires 2 analog sticks i need southpaw to play and thrustmaster's controller makes this possible and more...so i highly reccomend to any left handed gamer to pick up this pad.

It's easy to adjust to the size but impossible to play with default as a lefty so again this pad fixes that.

Great product, gives you exactly what you asked for...
What can I say...I got exactly what I asked for, It works perfectly with my ps3, though I expected it to be a bit bigger...It works great and is lasting so far. It however doesn't come with any batteries and uses 3 so go out and get 3 rechargeable.

Great Gamepad.
I bought this gamepad with some hesitation vs buying the Logitech wireless with rumble, being I've never owned anything, or even knew anyone that owned anything by Thrustmaster. I've been very happy with it. As others have said, it is quite a bit smaller, and it does need 3 AAA batteries that are not provided, and it also drains them quite quickly.

As far as it being to small to handle comfortably, I disagree entirly, just takes some time to get used to. It seems to have great range, even with blockage as far as the wireless goes. I havent gotten the chance to try it out with a PS3 yet, but it has worked 100% so far on both pc and ps2 with no problems what so ever with connecting. Others who have had a poor experience with this on pc, either have a terribly outdated pc, or at the very least must not be very good with computers. I had it out of the package and playing flash games online with it within 5 min. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

I like it enough that I'm buying a second one, for my fiance, right after this review.

Best Value for its price!
I recently purchased a PS3 and downloaded a bunch of racing demos. I fell in love with racing games even though I did not care much for them before. I decided to purchase Need for Speed Pro Street. This racing wheel works perfectly with that game, and my experience with racing games is even more heightened now. I've been so hooked on them, and cannot wait until Gran Turismo 5 comes out.

If you own a PS3 and looking to buy a racing game, possibly Gran Turismo 5 when it comes out, this racing wheel will work perfectly with the PS3. It has all the buttons on the six axis with the exception of the left stick and right stick. The gas pedal is R2 and brake pedal is L2. The two gray levers behind the wheel are R1 and L1. There are also two extra buttons, R3 and L3, which I have not used in racing games. The beauty is that you can re-assign all of these buttons to which ever you like, and you can set the sensitivity of the wheel.

For $50, this racing wheel is well worth it. It does the job correctly and does not put a hole in your wallet like those logitech wheels. If you are into racing games, I highly recommend this. It will definitely enhance your racing experience.

Too much fun!!!
This wheel is a blast and certainly is better than the standard controller. There is only one problem that I have seen and that is it is so hard to get my turn at the wheel. :)

Brilliant wheel for the money, works with GT5P
First off, the Ferrari GT Experience 3-in-1 Wheel DOES work with GT5 prologue. Ive just been thrashing the racing Corvette around Suzuka like I never have before.
It says in the manual to assign brake and accelerate to R2/L2 to get it to work. I also had to plug in the usb AFTER the game had loaded and was on the menu screen.
Also, choose high sensitivity mode on the wheel for GT5P, you get a huge deadzone in normal sensitivity.

Rumble doesnt work at all in GT5P (or any ps3 games from what ive read), but the tension in the wheel and snap-to-centre gives a realistic feel of resistance, but nothing like previous Logitech force feedback wheels ive owned.
Feels pretty solid, and the clamp is very secure, ive got it screwed down to a little ikea "lack" table and its the perfect height and doesnt move at all while playing.
The pedals are moving around a fair bit though, but i do have them on a rug, so maybe a different surface would be better, but they also have just the right amount of resistance and feel solid.

So yes, it works fine with GT5 Prologue and is way better than using a pad, my lap times have gone up by about 3-5 seconds in some instances, and seeing as this wheel costs around the same as a dualshock
i think its a bargain. Its not as good as the logitech models, but its also not as expensive, and if you can live without feedback and rumble then i would recommend
this wheel. (but saying that if i had a little more cash spare i would have definately bought a logitech.)
