    I'm returning it2
For $40 + Tax, this package seems like a good deal, but after owning it I changed my mind. The devices are cheaply made, and the fit and finish leave much to be desired. For example, the cooling fan is designed to fit on the front of the PS3, however, the only thing supporting the fan is the USB plug. That's it! There are two small plastic extensions that reach up into the grille, but it doesn't take much to make them lose their grip, and with only the USB port to support them at the fulcrum point there's very little that could be classified as "rugged". The HDMI cable is OK, the charger is cheap but OK as well. The remote just plain sucks. Even with fresh batteries, I find myself having to repeatedly press the same buttons over and over just to get a response. In case you were wondering the remote is infrared; it's not bluetooth. I'd save my money and get better stuff if I were you.

    Win some, lose some.3
I purchased the Psyclone PS3 Power Pack just to see if the remote was worth it for using the blu-ray player features. And the only reason for buying THAT was so I could teach the codes to my Sony Learning Remote! I hate ( = my wife hates) having to deal with a bunch of different remotes.
Teaching the codes worked fine although I cannot seem to figure out, or find any documentation, on how to use the remote to power up the PS3, but the standard play/pause/stop/FF/RW etc. all work fine. Note - Sony's remote uses bluetooth (like the controllers), the Psyclone is an infrared (like most electronic components) and uses a dongle that plugs into the USB port in the front of the PS3.
The HDMI cable is... well, an HDMI cable. Haven't needed it yet but my guess is, it will work just fine and with the prices some charge for HDMI cables, it's a bonus!
The charger works fine for two controllers at a time. It comes with 2 little clear plastic cradles that snap onto the base - something that isn't pointed out in the instructions, but they make the controllers sit properly and they make it easier to fit the charging connectors correctly. The bottom of the base glows blue while it's charging and changes to green when fully charged - at least that's my assumption since the instructions this kit comes with are completely useless.
The cooling fan - JUNK! After trying to affix it to the face of the PS3 I realized that a)its only attachment point is the USB connector so it just sort of flops and hangs off of the PS3. b)it could easily BREAK either itself or the PS3 if the fan moved too far. and c)the fan uses the left(bottom) USB port and BLOCKS the other one so if you use it, you can't even plug in the charging station or the dongle for the remote! Brilliant design! I pitched the fan in the trash and never bothered turning it on.
Pros - The remote gives basic dvd/blu-ray player functionality without having to use a controller. The charging station works fine (and looks cool if you like those glowing lights). HDMI cables ain't cheap and this comes with one.
Cons - Documentation on the whole kit is essentially non-existent. The little booklet shows pictures of what comes in the box - that's about it. The fan's design is awful - don't bother.

    I'm returning too3
    - HDMI cable is ok.
    - The controllers base is ok, looks nice.
    - The fans, I don't know, I don't feel like leaving that connected to my PS3, looks like it could break the usb port at some point.
    - the remote is ok, cheap look but works, what I don't like is having to put the usb receptor, ah and there is no way to power on/off the PS3 from the remote.

I paid $35 for it, I rather pay $20 for the Sony remote and buy a cheap HDMI cable.

    Maybe they should rename this...1
Perhaps they need to rename this product to something more appropriate. Like, instead of calling it the "Psyclone Recharge Station for PlayStation 3" they should call it the "Psyclone Lights Up When It's Holding a PlayStation 3 Controller."

What do I mean? I mean that yes, all this product seems to do for me is light up its little blue lights when the PS3 controllers are docked into it properly. These lights are presumably how this product lets you know that your controllers are recharging. Well, if you presumed that, you would be incorrect. These little blue lights that only light up when a controller is docked into the product seem to only be for show.

After I bought this, I broke the packaging open and plugged in the Recharge Station and dropped in two new controllers hoping they'd be ready to go for some multiplayer gaming I had planned for later that evening. Lo and behold, the controllers had no charge come game time. At first I blamed myself for this error, but after further checking I discovered that no, it was the Recharge Station.

Even when controllers are docked with the blue light on, the PS3 does not say that your controller is charging as it does when you simply plug a USB cable directly into the controller. No matter what configuration I tried this was the case.

Basically, all I'm really trying to say is that this isn't worth buying. It's not even worth the cost to ship it if you buy it here, or the cost of gas to go buy it if you pick it up at a local store. The only reason this MIGHT be worth buying is if you need somewhere to set your controllers while they discharge that looks halfway cool and lights up with little blue lights.

    Waste of money1
Rather than reiterate, I am referring you the Nathaniel's Excellent post above. I had the same experience. Save your money and your time.

    Not bad, could be better3
This charger has worked flawlessly for me for several months. I think the problem the people in these other reviews are having is that this charger gets its power via usb. If these other people are plugging this charger into their playstation, this might be the issue. This is because the PS3 does not supply power to it's USB ports when the PS3 is turned off. So, if they plug the charger into the ps3, with it turned off and walk away, hoping for it to be charged, it isn't going to work. You'll either have to leave your ps3 on all the time in order to charge these controllers, which, lets face it, is -not- why we buy a charging base. If we wanted to charge our controllers via the usb ports on the front of the ps3, we could just use the usb cables included with the controllers (but we'd still have to leave the ps3 on). Luckily, my cable box has a usb port in front of it that does nothing at all, but does supply power enough for my controllers to be charged when I am ready to use them.

On top of it, the design of this unit does nothing to guide the controllers onto the usb port, or protect them from getting bent if the controller should happen to get removed at an angle. While my charger is still working well, I think it is only a matter of time before the usb ports break off. It took a long while before I got the hang of plugging in the controllers properly on a first attempt.

In short, this charger works well if you have a usb port that is always on to plug it into (NOT the PS3 usb ports). And the design isn't that great, as therre could/should be guides to ease plugging in controllers and to protect the charing ports. My suggestion would be to find a different charger, one powered by an ac adapter to ensure your controllers get charged when your ps3 is turned on. and something that helps to protect the usb ports and ease plugging the controller in.

Had the potential to be great!!3
NO RUMBLE and NO SIXAXIS. I don't understand why Psyclone didn't include at least the rumbling feature. A lot of people where blasting sony for not including it in the original sixaxis. Really disappointing because I really like the way it feels in my hand and the triggers. The triggers are some of the best designed on any controller in my opinion. They move so smoothly. They offer hardly any resistance. Kind of reminds me of my Springfield XD 45 in a way. I wish I could take the insides of the dualshock and put them in this controller. It would be perfect for me. It also has a on/off switch which is nice. The aluminum on the controller feels really nice especially if its cold. I would keep this controller if it just had rumble in it. I can do without the sixaxis but not the rumble. Psyclone had a good idea with this item but just failed to out do the dualshock. The analog sticks are stiffer then sony's but I actually found myself enjoying their stiffness. If you don't need the rumbling feature or sixaxis then this would be a great product for you. Oh yeah this is a RF controller so it won't turn on your PS3 but it does have a home button.

    Pretty Darn Good5
Yes this controller does not have six axis control (who cares) or rumble (would have been nice) but what it does have is a much better feel than the dualshock 3. The bigger controller reminds me a lot more of the much superior xbox 360 controller. The L2 and R2 triggers are way better than the ones on the dualshock. The spring action feels right and your fingers dont slip off of them. Also the sticks are stiffer and feel more accurate for fps and racing games. Im very impressed with it. In their next version if they add rumble then they will have the perfect controller. As is I give it a 4.5.

Great Controller FOR COD:WaW...A little too stiff on the R1/L1 though...4
Got this at Target for $20 on clearance. Since I play COD:WaW with this controller, I can't say the same for other games. I like it. Controller works. The sticks a little stiff but does the job. Online gaming, the right stick was a bit unresponsive but maybe because I haven't broken it in yet. I like the RF connector on teh ps3, it doesn't look like a regular USB plug, it camouflage itself well. I can definitely see myself buying another one (for $20) and have only ONE official ps3 controller. COD seem to have broken the left stick on both my official ps3 controller.

MY problem is with the R1/L1 button. Aiming with the L1, I can't just lightly tap it, I have to hold it down firm. Lightly tapping it down, my player would aim for 2 - 3 sec and release the aim. If I held it down tight, it doesn't happen. Maybe it needs to be broken in too. Same thing with the R1. Sometime, my firing would cease and I have to repeatedly tap the R1 button. Great with semi and/or single shot, BAD with auto and machine gun.

My FIX: Change the button layout from Default to Default Flip (xbox360 config) which change the aim/shoot to the trigger and swap teh grenades to R1/L1. The triggers were awesome.

Will update soon regarding R1/L1 sensitivity. (Oh yeah, I try changing the game sensitivity up but that got me dizzy. LOL. Back to medium sensitivity).

Get the real thing, your not saving a lot of money.2
I picked this up originaly thinking it would work with rock band...of course it did not. Not sure why a 3rd party would not make a guitar that would satisfy the dispute between rock band and guitar hero but they didn't. As for the game play with the guitar (GH3) very cheap feeling. The strum bar has a defined reaction when used, meaning it clicks and does give a reflexive response like the rock band guitar. Now some who play GH3 will be used to that, personally, I don't get it, you dont get that feel of strumming a guitar, very boolean. The button were fine but I felt they were too small and very distant for human hands. Sure guitar frets are far apart, but this is a game, not a training tool. Therefore I would say go get a genuine real mccoy GH3 backup, plus there will be less fighting with the kids on who gets the "cool" guitar, not saying which one I like better. Two stars only because it does actually work with GH3.

    Sad Just Very Sad1
This guitar is a piece of crap. It sucks it does not work correctly and is cheaply made. It turned off my PS3 several times or paused the game or brought up the systems menu. It does not work correctly at all. I got it for Guitar Hero 3 and the thing must be defective or just poorly made. I know it doesn't work with Rock Band because it says so. This is just a very sad piece of merchandise. [...].

    Decent for a cheapy guitar.4
This guitar DOES work for Rockband 2 (after patch). It feels cheap, looks decent (I like the solid black look - not as wild as others). I only really have two complaints.

    1. The "strum" lever (whatever it is you hit w/your right hand) is rather loose. I find it easier to accidentally hit it than the "official" RB2 guitar.

    2. A previous poster did complain about some problems w/the XMB. The button w/the thumbprint icon serves as the PS button on the controller. I've found that there is a HUGE amount of lag from pressing that button to the XMB showing up. This does lead to some confusion and frustration.

All in all, this is a good back up guitar. I wouldn't recommend it for continuous primary play.

Adds significant convenience to the charging process, has some shortcomings4
The PS3 does not come with a controller charger because one is not needed. The provided USB cable and a free port on the PS3 do the job quite well. However, for additional convenience, as many as a dozen third party chargers are available and the Touchcharge kit is one of the more innovative solutions.

Here are the Touchcharge main features:

+ eliminates the need to physically plug/unplug the controller adding significant convenience to the charging process
= like all dedicated chargers, does not take up USB ports on the PS3
    - will charge only one controller at a time
    - the 2 supplied adapters allow for up to and no more than 2 controllers, unless you are willing to swap the adapters on and off between controllers
    - the charge adapters add bulk to the controller
    - conflicts with other devices that can be attached to the controller such as the Sony-made keyboard attachment

As noted above, there is one big positive, the Touchcharge main feature that sets it apart from the crowd but the convenience of not having to plug the controller in and out of the charger is counterbalanced by several small negatives of which the added bulk and the 2-controller limitation are the most significant.

The Touchcharge is not for everyone but those who purchase one while aware of both the positives and the noted shortcomings should be pleased with what they get.

    Excellent Device5
Excellent product. It actually adds a little weight to the controller, but nothing that is distracting or impairs usage. Its great being able to just put the charger on a pad and not have to fiddle plugging in any chords.

    Touchcharge for PS3!5
A good product. It makes charging very easy to do. The adapters are hinged, just snap them on and place the controllers on the charging plate. WAA LAAA!! I like this method better then having to break out the USB cords and plugging each end into the PS3 and controller. That is real pain if you have been playing for hours and just want to go to bed!! The size is compact but big enough for 2 PS3 paddles. Having the contacts magnetized makes sure that your controllers stay in place. No fear of electric shock either. I touched the plate while it was plugged in and had one paddle on it, nothing! I would highly recommend this product!

My PSP feels very safe and has4
Tight and compact. I wish there was a place to hold a duo adapter though, but it holds what it needs and is snug and protected.

I doesnt not have room for the wall charger, but comes with a usb charger.

Recommended for travel and just for local storage.

Not bad, but a few design flaws.3
This case costs about $25 in store, but I got it for $12.48 on clearance at my local Target. The case is definitely worth the $12.48 I paid for it, but I am not sure that it would be worth the full $25 at brick and mortar stores - but $20 at Amazon is definitely a good value.

The case itself is very heavy - much heavier than you would expect (I almost dropped it out of surprise when I took it off the hooks on the shelf). It comes with a car charger, a USB cable/charger (this plugs into your computer or your car charger), a cleaning cloth, a screen protector, and retractable earbuds. All of these components have individual pockets in the case that they feet nicely in, with cutaways for your fingers to pry them out. The actual material that the components fit in is a very nice and smooth feeling rubbery substance. On the top lid, there are cutouts for UMDs and 2 memory sticks. Very nice! There are two mysterious spaces on the bottom half that I am not sure what they are for - they appear to be for extra analogue nubs, but it is hard to say.

The car charger seems sturdy enough. I do not like the fact that I have to plug it in to a separate cord. But, the cord seems sturdy enough. This is my main problem with the case. The cord is a USB on one end that splits off into an AC/DC plug AND USB 2.0 Mini-B jack. This cord does NOT fit in the space provided in the case. If you notice in the picture, there is a long slim slot on the right side of the case. This is for this cable. I fiddled with it for about an hour before I managed to fit it in and get the case to actually close. I am not sure how to combat this problem; my OCD absolutely will NOT allow the charger main piece to be in the case but not the cable that goes to it, especially since there is a compartment for it (even though it is a design flaw). This brings me to my biggest gripe of the case:

The hinges all seem very flimsy!

The hinges that hold the top portion to the bottom portion are very small and seem very cheapy. The hinge that keeps the case closed also seems very cheapy. I have awful visions in my head of holding the case by the handle, the hinge breaking, and my PSP falling to the floor and breaking into a million pieces. It may LOOK like a brief case, but it certainly does NOT have the typical brief case-style dual hinges that keep the case securely shut. I plan on just keeping this baby flat, and putting it in my backpack when my wife and I go on vacation.

    Pleased4
I was very pleased with this item and would recommend it to anyone that owns a PSP
