Not the same caliber as other Lego titles and lacks longevity
I have been a big fan of the various "Lego" game offerings and when I heard they were coming out with a sequel to the Indy game I anxiously counted down the days until release. Unfortunately I'm disappointed with this game. It's just not the same caliber as the other Lego games and they've changed some of the general feel of game play that gave the others their "character" and longevity (to continue playing). We've played the other games over and over again.

The good:
This is the first PS3 version of the Lego games that we have purchased, all others are the Wii versions. But generally speaking this game doesn't seem to be near as buggy as the last Indy game (which was terribly buggy on the Wii). It hasn't been without it's issues (we have had 1 freeze -had to hard power down the system and some minor buggy behavior. As usual, the graphics are nice. And, of course, it's always fun bashing things and collecting studs.

Some of the changes:
1) Each of the movies now has a separate "hub" from which you access the various levels. At first this was sort of cool. However the spaces are large and it takes a while to get to the next spot. There is a "Quick Play" option, but it's hidden in the Creator box, which you wouldn't necessarily look for.
2) They've done away with purchasing characters and extras from the store. These extras only become available one at a time as you complete certain things along the way. They are dropped in via parachute and you can elect to purchase them. If you don't purchase them right away you need to run all over the hub and try to remember where they where dropped in.
3) Bricks are different. There are 3 colors of bricks, which are now "hidden" in the hub areas. Although once you figure out what you are looking for they aren't all that difficult to find. Mini kits are gone, replaced by "treasures". For treasure, you must complete the level once and then go back in. The secondary levels are frustrating. You must have certain characters to complete the level however you don't select multiple characters to take with you like in other games and you cannot cycle thru characters like you could before either. So if you don't have the right characters when you go in, you have to go back out. IF that capability is there, I couldn't find it. Additionally, when playing as a single player, I would expect the accompanying character to automatically be one of the characters that is necessary for the level. This was not the case.
4) It's now in split screen mode for multiplayers. Rather than be a static split screen, it seems to be making attempts at being a smart split screen. When characters are close together, there's no divider. When you get further away, the screen splits (shows a black line to signify the split). Where it splits is dependent on where the players are, it might be top/bottom, left/right, diagonally. This also means that sometimes you may be on the left, other times you might be on the right. At first we didn't realize this was even happening until suddenly a black line appeared. It takes some getting used to, but it's nice to have the ability to explore other places and not be anchored by the other person's movements.

The summary
One of the best parts of the earlier games, and what made them enjoyable time and time again was replaying levels in free play mode and using the various characters to search for newly accessible areas, find the minikits and other secret goodies and so on. This simply isn't there any more. Additionally, each movie has a car chase level...which is really just the same activity with different scenery and cars. It gets a bit old. Individual levels are short and there's really not a lot to them. We're flying right through the game and I doubt there's going to be much replay of it when we're done.This game doesn't have the longevity the others had and the changes don't feel like improvements. I have been looking forward to Harry Potter, with these changes, I'm a little worried.

I have not played much with the creator stuff, but that's not really appealing to me. I wonder if that's where they put all of their focus, because it doesn't feel like it was in the actual game play.

It's not a terrible game, just disappointing.

Definitely not as fun as the first one
I was so excited when I heard that a second Lego Indy was coming out so imagine my disappointment when all of the things that I loved about the first one are not there.

The biggest disappointment is you can't cycle through the characters like before. If you have to do a challenge that requires specific characters, you have to wander throughout the entire level to find the ones that you need and then go back to complete the challenge. You also can't buy characters or vehicles anymore, you have to earn them after completing certain tasks.

Honestly I had to cave and buy the guide to go with it because I couldnt figure out how to access some of the challenges.

After playing it, I probably should have rented it instead of buying it. Not a repeat play for me like the first Lego Indy or Lego Star Wars.

A great companion piece to part 1
It's hard to talk about this game without wanting to compare it to all the previous Lego adventure games, because initially it is set up quite differently from the rest, which I understand is a turn off for a lot of people who expected more of the same. But different doesn't necessarily mean worse, and it didn't take long at all for me to get comfortable with the new layout of Lego Indiana Jones 2. In fact in the end it isn't so different after all, and still proves to be a lot of fun.

As every other reviewer has mentioned, the game is divided into six hubs instead of the usual one - three for Crystal Skull and one for each of the first three movies. The levels are then located within these hubs, as are the bonuses (bricks), characters, and vehicles you can unlock for purchase. The hubs are large, free-roaming areas that could potentially get confusing when it comes to figuring out the side missions, but when it comes to advancing the story along green arrows will help to point you in the right direction. Good amounts of critical thinking and planning ahead are required since certain levels may require a character with a unique ability (high jumping, shovel, etc.) to complete it, and you'll need a good memory when it comes time to go back and fetch the item/person you want because once unlocked they inhabit a specific area of the hub. Hence real young children may need guidance. The cut scenes are humorous, and some creative license was taken with the design of several of the boss fights and I thought it worked out really well. (Irina Spalko, Mola Ram, and the "ant man" were pretty cool.) I found the gameplay to be more smooth and sharp and in the vein of Lego Batman, and a vast improvement over the 1st Indiana Jones Game, where characters seemed to move rather slow and clunky a lot of the time. My only gripe is that the vehicles are terribly hard to maneuver and are constantly getting stuck in corners or rolling over.

However, like may others, I too experienced several glitches and freezes during the first 1/3rd or so of the game which is inexcusable. I can't say much about the new feature that allows you to create your own levels; I only dabbled in it for a moment but it seemed to be a very convoluted system that didn't catch my interest, though I could see others enjoying it if they were willing to invest the time. Nor did I have a chance to try the new split screen 2-player mode, but in theory it sounds like a good idea.

For those who are curious, there is absolutely NO material repeated from the first Indiana Jones game, which is a great incentive to buy, but it's also the reason why in this game Raiders, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade are much more abbreviated than Crystal Skull. In itself it's a great game, but probably should be looked at more as a companion piece, or extension, to part 1. I said in the beginning that different doesn't necessarily mean worse, but it also doesn't necessarily mean better, either. For the sake of replay value, I would hope that future Lego games reinstate the old format just because it had a more organized, linear flow to it. IJ2 was a welcome experiment, but at times felt like a work still in progress which is why I have to give it a less than perfect rating, though I'd still recommend it.

Indy and Lego: Right!
I'm a 42 year old man, who just received "Lego Indiana Jones" for his birthday. Now, I'd been hearing about Lego Star Wars for a long time, and how much fun it was. But I just didn't buy it. I mean, how could having a Lego experience compare with Star Wars Battlefront or Star Wars Battlefront II, which was extremely realistic and fun to boot? Well, the truth is, in a campy and fun way, the Lego series takes what you love about the movies, and makes it truly a fun, interactive experience.

Lego Indiana Jones follows the plots of the three movies faithfully (with a few minor plot detail changes that totally don't detract from the enjoyment). Each "movie" has six missions in it, and your goal is to make it through each level. The process of making it through the level is not at all challenging, but really is smart in it's intuitiveness and manor. You instinctively know what to do in each level, and sometimes the challenge comes from trying to figure out how to do it. Embedded in each level are ten "treasure chests" filled with an artifact piece. Find all ten, and you get an artifact from that mission. Normally, I'm not into the side missions, or extra bonus things that some video games have, but finding these treasure chests became an obsession of mine!

All through the game, Lego has embedded some wry humor and playful puns that only enhance the game. For example, in the min-movie that opens "Temple of Doom", Willie's opening dance number is hilarious for her coughing. Since the Lego people don't actually talk but grunt at each other, it makes it even more funny. And Elsa Schneider's greeting at the Venice pier is one for the record books!

I'm throughly loving this game, and as soon as I am finished (I'm purposefully playing it slow to get the most enjoyment out of it over the longest period of time), it's off to Lego Star Wars for me! Highly recommended for all ages, and all Indy fans!

Nearly perfect!
I just finished playing through this game in Story mode, and I have to say it was a ton of fun from start to finish. In fact, the last time I enjoyed a video game this much was when I played the previous Lego game. This game has virtually everything you could expect in the series: Humorous cut scenes, imaginative puzzles, new attack moves, and cool new vehicles to handle.

The game itself is divided into the same "3 movies, 6 chapters/movie" sections as both the Lego Star Wars games, and feels about the same length.

The puzzles are both more intricate and more logical than the Lego Star Wars games. If you have played either of the previous Lego games, there will be little in the way of outright frustration for you. If you have not, however, or you have young children playing through the game, get ready to encounter some real stumbling blocks. I have gotten 100% on both the previous Lego Star Wars games, and I still had to resort to a walkthrough/message board on three separate occasions to finish the Story Mode of this game.

Unlike Star Wars, where there were several interesting characters in a bit of a Rebel Forces ensemble piece, the Indiana Jones movies focused squarely on Indy and Indy alone. As a result, the characters selection screen is padded with Indy in several different costumes, which is a few too many. However, the other characters have been made interesting as well, and the game does a good job of balancing out skills so that you might actually want to be the non-Indy character once in a while.

The music is top notch, and sounds virtually indistinguishable from the movie.

The humor is (if anything) even better than in the Lego Star Wars games. I found myself laughing out loud several times through the course of the game from the unexpected cut scene script deviations.

The vehicles/animals section is a standout. You will ride boats, horses, elephants, motorcycles, and (of course) a mine cart, among other things. This section is an improvement over both Lego Star Wars games, as each one of the vehicles/animals are both unique and fun (unlike the "glorified floating bridge" landspeeder in Lego Star Wars II).

The only downside of such an outstanding game is the sub-par buddy character AI. I played through the game on my own, and there were a few instances where my helper character had no clue what to do. In fact, in some rare cases, I had to plug a second controller into the PS2 to make both characters do what I wanted, something I NEVER had to do on either of the Lego Star Wars. It was a shame, as it took away a bit of the fun from an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable game.

Despite the AI problem, this is a 5-star game, and will be truly enjoyable for the whole family.

Loads of fun
Traveller's Tales returns with another Lego-based game, this time focusing on the Indiana Jones franchise after conquering the world of Star Wars. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is exactly what the title implies: the original Indy trilogy in Lego form. It should be noted right now that if you've played any of the Lego Star Wars games, you'll feel right at home here. The gameplay itself is relatively simple, family friendly fun that nearly anyone can pick up and play. Co-op mode is where the real fun of Lego Indiana Jones is to be had though, and like Lego Star Wars before it, the game just has a sense of undeniable charm to it that you can't help but get some enjoyment in the very least out of it. It may not take you too long to breeze through the game though, but if you do, it is worth going back and playing again just to catch all the game's in-jokes and visual gags, along with a horde of hidden items and goodies as well. If there's any real flaws to the game, it's that the AI isn't all that good in terms of enemies and AI-controlled pals, but as a whole, Lego Indiana Jones is massively enjoyable. All in all, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures continues the tradition of wonderfully fun and family friendly games, and is definitely worth picking up for Indy fans or anyone looking for some good clean fun.

Great fun no matter how old or young you are!
Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of the first movies I remember seeing as a child and it is one of my favorite movies of all time. That being said I was looking forward to a trip down memory lane with this game and I was not disappointed.

First of all let me say that this game is truly fun for all ages. While it may appear to be a kids game at first glance, it's actually a very fun game for grown ups as well. The game has the original Indiana Jones music as heard in the movies. A brilliant touch as it adds to the game tremendously. The lego versions of all Indy characters are well done and very cute. You will find virtually every character from all three Indy movies in this game and you can unlock them all as playable in "free play" mode.

Another area where this game stands out is the humor the designers have put into it. There are so many funny little moments and even some funny homages to Star Wars. The game designers have really done their homework and it shows.

As far as the gameplay...it's what you would expect from a Lego title. Lots of cracking the whip and punching things. While it can get a bit repetitive at times I completely understand why the developers did this. By keeping it simple the game really becomes accessible to gamers of all skill levels....and, in my opinion, that's a smart move on their part.

One of the best things about this game is the co-op mode. My wife never plays games with me on my PS3, ever. We recently saw the new Indy flick at the theater and I convinced her to play this game with me. She loves it! One of the reasons she never plays is because of all the "complicated" controls on the PS3's controller. Back to my point about the game play being simple, the controls are so easy she has no problem playing. There aren't complicated button schemes or an overabundance of complication so she feels comfortable playing and she does not get frustrated. This is one of those games that can be played and enjoyed by the whole family...and it's nice that it's $10 cheaper than most of the other PS3 games.

I gave this game 5 stars. Let me clarify this ranking.
Does this game have graphics as good as Uncharted:Drake's Fortune? No. Does this game have as engrossing a storyline and as diverse gameplay as GTA IV? No.
Does this game accomplish what it sets out to do? Definitely.

I've spent money on many PS3 titles that I did not enjoy nearly as much as this game. Lego Indy sets out to be a cute, nostalgic and simple game based on the Indiana Jones movies that the whole family can enjoy. I believe it has accomplished this in spades. Of course it will not appeal to everyone as hard core gamers are not the target audience but fans of Indy, families and those looking for a fun game will find that Lego Indy is a great time and I highly recommend it.

Classic fun for all
I purchased Lego Indiana Jones as an alternative to FPS (I'm not a fan) or sports games because I'm new to playing video games. After recently purchasing a PS3 and Rock Band 2, I wanted something other than a music game to try. I grew up watching Indiana Jones movies and playing Legos, so naturally putting the two together seemed like a great idea...and it was! This game is so much fun! I'm 23-years-old, and I can't get enough of it. My boyfriend, who is quite the video gamer, also really likes it. It gives you a challenge without being too challenging, plus the graphics are good and the story line entertaining. I liked it so much, I recently purchased Lego Batman for my younger brother's DS. And he loves that, too! Once I finish the game, I think I'll probably get the Lego Star Wars. Believe me, though-- this game is great for the whole family!

Glitchy, but still Lego fun!
I'm a big fan of Lego Star Wars, and also the Indiana Jones trilogy. So naturally, I loved this game. It's quite a bit shorter than Star Wars The Complete Saga for PS3, having three episodes instead of Star Wars' six (all episodes still have six levels apiece).

The Good:
There's the same cheeky humor that made Lego Star Wars so much fun. There's a slightly different feel to the gameplay with less shooting, more punching and throwing things at your enemy. There isn't any flying, but you can control a boat, motorcycle, & car among other things.

Indiana comes equipped with his signature whip, and guns can be found at various points in the game. Pistols & bazookas come with a limited amount of ammo, so choose your shots well!

The other characters have their own different strengths to add to the missions (i.e higher jump, smaller character, shiny object breaker), but the also now have weaknesses as well. Indiana is scared of snakes, Willie is frightened by spiders--so you'll have to switch to another character to help get them past the scary areas.

Instead of collecting mini-kits, you collect pieces of artifacts. If you collect all of them in the game, 3 extra levels are available to play.

The Bad:
When in single player, the game's Artificial Intelligence second player is alot more easily confused. I found myself moving ahead in the game, only to have to go back and get my AI character out of a stuck spot. They also follow too close, making it harder to back up in a tight spot.

Some of the enemy characters are a bit glitchy as well. Every once in a while when fighting enemies, one or two of them would be running in place behind a rock or other obstacle.

The character-switching triangle button is a little more generous this time around. Instead of walking up to and facing your second character before pressing the triangle button to switch to them, in Indiana Jones you can switch to your other guy from across the room. While this is really convenient in most cases, it's really a pain trying to use that same button to jump in a car, or pick up an item. I would be about to jump in a boat with the triangle button, then turn a fraction too far past it and end up switching to my second character instead, who was standing several feet away. Agggrhh!


All in all, it was really fun to play, and the storyline made for some cool-looking environments. Puzzles were tough but doable, and there was a good balance of fighting versus problem-solving. Expect to finish the game in a few days including freeplay--you could rent it but the replay value is pretty good. Hopefully the buggy parts have been noted and fixed by the time Lego Batman comes out!

Great value
This is a fun game and a great value. By including two previously released games, updating the graphics, and adding additional content, this game was not only fun to play but also a terrific value.

If you have not played any of the previous Star Wars Lego games and enjoy action platformer types games this is a must buy. The action is light, fun, and addictive. There are some minor annoyances, the odd camera issue and some of the platforming aspects - controls could be a hair tighter - but these are generally minor annoyances.

To top it off, the game delivers goofball humor that is funny without being overly cheesy. Combine the easy to approach action with secrets and collectibles not obtained on a first play through and you have a game that actually appeals to all ages with tons of replay value.

Finally, the Star Wars license has been put to good use. Easily the best Star Wars game on any Playstation platform.

Father and Son unite
The Father and Son I speak of are my own. This game was purchased originally for my grandson, but his dad loves playing it just as much as my grandson does. They sit down and take turns playing. It provides a good bonding time for them.

A great buy!
After reading several reviews, I was pretty sure I would enjoy this game. I'm glad I bought it. It's got a quick learning curve, ALL kinds of extras to discover, an enormous cast of characters, and it's one of those games that plays thru somewhat speedily and doesn't drag out. My only complaint is that the controls can be a bit hard to manage when it comes to jumping up onto things.
The levels progress rapidly, but are plentiful. After completing you can go back in "free play" mode and play the levels as any unlocked character, which you must in order to get all the goodies. I was a bit worried that after completing a level I would not want to go back, but that's not the case at all. It's enough fun that you really want to achieve the goals. The sound effects are well done, and often time hilarious. The game if full of droid sounds, ambience in the Cantina, ships racing thru space, and light sabers. Padme's death cry still cracks me up!
I would highly recommend this game. It's great fun for one or two players, and that's hard to find these days!

Could have been better.
The game has two components, multiplayer duel and the Revenge of the Sith story game. The Revenge of the Sith story game allows you to play as Anakin, Obi-Wan or go cooperative with two players reinacting the movie through an action-arcade style game. It's a movie game where you play out the movie, it is what it is.

The other component is a duel mode which allows you to fight Jedi vs Jedi. This is where this product is frustrating because this duel game is exactly what many of us have been longing for (think: Soul Calibur set in the Star Wars universe), it's frustrating because the duel mode was added as a bonus; it's an underdeveloped concept, so you have to unlock characters as you play along in story mode (or you can use cheat codes) once you've unlocked them all you get a few surprises (Darth Vader in full armor and Obi-Wan from Episode IV), but I was let down not to have Yoda and The Emperior as playable duel characters.

What I hope is that Lucus Arts will have The Collective create a pure dueling Star Wars game based not only on Episode III, but on the entire Universe. There are plenty to add from the expanded universe as well (e.g. Darth Bane), if someone would make this it could be the ultimate Star Wars game.

Great game!
Due to anticipation of the movie, I went out and bought this the first day it was available. The combat system actually reminds me a lot of the EA Games Lord of the Rings releases. While you do not get to choose who you want to control on a given level, the combos seemed quite similar and the skill ratings work in the same manner. The lightsaber duels are very cool (Count Dooku, Grievous, etc) and the ability to use different force powers (force lightning!) also added to the variability of simply button-mashing your way through the game.

While some may complain that the game is too short or too easy, it's great for someone like myself who doesn't like to be thoroughly frustrated while playing a game and would rather plow through a game in hours rather than days. In a day and a half I am almost through the game but really want to go through it again (especially Anakin in the Jedi Temple). Additionally, there are a lot of unlockables and secrets to uncover in the game. There are bonus challenge missions that let you play as other characters (such as Gen. Grievous) that add to the game as well. Overall, a very good game for both Star Wars and action game fans.

Lord of the rings in space
It's amazing to see how popular EA's lord of the rings hack n' slash games are. The format used is done so well, that Lucasarts and the Collective took that format and replaced everything with Star Wars.

Revenge of the Sith for PS2 is a simple hack n' slash, beat-em-up game. You go down a linear path, killing enimies, pressing switches, jumping occasionally, and going down more paths, killing more enimies, etc. When you make a kill, you get a grade of fair, good, impressive, and masterfull. The more kills you get, the faster your skill meter fills up, and the more experience points you get to upgrade your charachter.

Sound familiar? It should be. While the gameplay is a disguised copy of the Lord of the rings format, it works for the most part, but could use more touch up (more on that later).

For a hack-n-slash game, Revenge of the sith looks pretty good. The enviornments and worlds look really good (especially the planet of mustafar). Every area looks good and has lots of little touches to set it apart from the other worlds. Grievous's flagship for example, has battleships floating outside, blasting each other to bits (which is quite fun to watch). Mustafar has volcaones, couroscant has a gigantic city-scape, etc. Overall, the game looks good, but certian things could use more improvement. The clone troopers and Yoda, for example, have a boxy look to them. It's not a huge problem, but it is noticable.

One nice draw of Revenge of the Sith is it's big one on one duels. You've got Obi-wan vs General Grievous (complete with four lightsabers, yikes!), Anakin vs Mace Windu ("Ready for this boy?!") Anakin vs Count Dooku, Anakin vs Stunt Coordinator Nick Gallard (*Face turns red in anger and steam rushes out of ears*), and the final showdown between Anakin and Obi-wan (which is just as awesome as it is in the movie).

While the game has sixteen levels, it isint very long. I completed it in about eight hours. Short yes, but fun. When you finish the main part of the game, you can then go and try out the bonus missions, which are simple "kill em all" missions. It is however, quite fun to play as Yoda and General Grievous. There's also a two player coopertive mode thats a complete waste of time (you go through rooms killing an endless amount of enimies. Gets boring in about ten seconds).

There's also a duel mode where you can play as the games big charachters in one on one fights in several locations, such as Anakin dueling Greivous in Couroscant, Count Dooku and Obi wan fighting on Mustafar, etc. You get a lot of arenas and a good amount of fighters, but why no yoda or emperor? One Feature I like is that if you're playing the duel mode by yourself, the computer will play as the second charachter, so you can enjoy it by yourself.

There are also a lot of concept art that you unlock going through the game, some of which is quite cool (Anakin wearing his vader armor withought the helmet for example). One big bonus of the game is that it includes several sequences that are not in the movie, such as a fight on Grievous's ship as it turns completly upside down (cool!). Several battles are also extended, such as Anakin and Mace's fight, which is now a lot longer.

Probably the biggest problems I have with Revenge of the Sith are it's combat system and it's lack of charachter selection in replay. The combat system that Revenge of the Sith uses is almost identical to that of EA's lord of the rings titles. It was perfected in Return of the king, but sadly the system here is not as good. While it's fairly easy to reach maximum skill in LOTR games, here it's almost impossible to get anything outside of "Fair". Getting "good" is really tough. Getting "impressive" takes forever, and getting "masterfull" is almost impossbile. Each sucsessful hit on an enemy gets you one point on the skill meter. Each hit on you takes away a skill point on the meter. And you get hit a lot, meaning that your meter gets emptied very quickly.

As a result, the combat system suffers from getting too little experience points for all the hacking and slashing that you do. It would have been nice if the developers copied the Return of the king combat system directly, as it had been pretty much perfected in that game (which is still fun two years later).

The other quibble I have is that unlike the LOTR games, you cannot play any level with any charachter once you finish the game. If a level plays with Anakin, then you're stuck playing as Anakin forever. It was so cool to be able to mess around with "what if" situations, but you cannot do that here. It would have added a LOT of replay value. Think of it! Mace Windu on Mustafar, fighting Anakin skywalker. General Grievous teaming up with Yoda to cleanse the Jedi Temple of clone troopers, etc.

As it is, Revenge of the Sith is a good, fun game that I enjoy a lot. While it has the possibility of adding so much more, it's good as it stands. I recommend buying it used, as i'd pay about twenty dollars for the game, not fifty, but you should probably rent it first.

Oh, one last thing. You can play as Anakin and kill obi-wan in the final battle on mustafar, giving you a cool "What if" alternate ending. That alone is quite fun to watch.

Could, Should have been better.
This game is fun. It's not awful but it's not great either. I think kids would enjoy this game. I enjoyed that it has many of the characters from the show with strong performances from all the voice actors. I also liked that it captures the same humor that makes the tv show good family fun. My biggest disappointment was with the graphics which make a PS3 game look like something made for the wii. Far too often the camera view is too far from the action. This game would be so much better if you could be real close to the action. Another disappointment was that the game was too short. The game play is very similar to the Lego Star Wars game but with less content. If you're going to get the PS3 version I would recommend renting instead of buying or wait until the price drops below $30. Or get the PC version instead.

My son loves this game!
When I read the first review here I decided not to purchase the game even though my son (13 years old) had downloaded the demo and loved it. However, I did decide to rent it and my son loves it. When I asked him what he likes his reply was "everything." When pressed to give specific examples he replied that he likes that you can play as so many different characters, and that missions take place between Season 1 and 2 of the show so things are new. I know he likes the fact that in the game he can use his points to purchase "hats and masks" and change his character's look. This can get quite humorous when the original slender bodies are topped by some outrageous looking hats, helmets and masks. It does make it easy to spot your character though!

He's been playing this for the last three days so I know he likes it. How does this game compare to other Star War games he has played? He played "The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels" for about 20 minutes before he announced to me that I could return it to the rental store. Thank goodness I didn't buy that. He really likes the "Lego Star Wars" games and he played them a lot when we first bought them a couple years ago--but at 13 he has kinda outgrown those versions and finds "Clone Wars: Republic Heroes" better. This game is more advanced that Lego Star Wars.

I also read a review that was criticial of the small size of the characters, but for us this hasn't been an issue. He's been playing this on a 40-inch LCD screen, so perhaps at half the size this could become an issue.

Bottom line: This is a fun game with an interesting story line and good graphics.

Perfect for a dad and 7-year-old boy
My son and I love being on the same side in this game. This is just the right level of difficulty for a family game. I also should mention that the Prima strategy guide has alleviated frustration once or twice.
