No Jumping for joy with this one.1
Okay folks - This has to be one of the worst Playstation 2 games I have ever played. I'll take the Amazon description and offer my rebuttal on each point.

(#1) Jump Ability - Use your teleportation skills to "Jump" within hand-to-hand combat range of an enemy to start dishing out devastating blows.
(#1 Counterpoint) - This is a fancy way of saying you can either walk up to an enemy or Jump to them and start button-mashing.

(#2) Combos - Exciting and intense layered combo fighting system.
(#2 Counterpoint) - WHAT? This is a button-mashing game if I ever played one. You attack one of a billion enemy clones, mash the attack button a bunch of times, rinse, and repeat. I don't see what's so exciting or intensely layered about that.

(#3) Finishing Moves - Instantly teleport enemies to exotic perilous locations to finish them.
(#3 Counterpoint) - Yes, this feature is available. The problem is, it gets boring after watching it for the 35th time. There's no rhyme or reason to this 'finishing move' cutscene, sometimes it happens, most of the time it doesn't.

(#4) Enemy classes - Deeply ranked hierarchy of Paladin enemy types.
(#4 Counterpoint) - Again, WHAT? As far as I can tell, there's one group who fire nets, one group who fire stun guns, one of those groups in black suits and another one of those groups in brown suits. That doesn't sound so 'deeply ranked' to me.

(#5) Exotic Locales - 5 combat arenas set all around the world - Colosseum, Griffin's Desert Lair, Nepal, Tokyo Streets and an Experimental Lab Facility.
(#5 Counterpoint) - Yes, these areas are all present. However, it's all pretty much the same gameplay in each 'arena'....Jump from place to place, fight over 100 enemies per level who all look the same, go from one place in the level to another which you can only access by Jumping, and then fight a level boss with less AI than a cabbage leaf.

(#6) Unlockable abilities - Unlockable skills and combos through gameplay.
(#6 Counterpoint) - Yes, this is true, you can get more proficient with weaponry as you use it more and more often. You can also collect special items throughout the stages. However, when you play through the same levels again and again and again and again and again, it gets so repetitive it's not even worth upgrading Griffin to peak proficiency.

One of the worst failings of Jumper is the control configuration, which operates on a hair trigger. There are a few levels with obstacles that kill you if you can't maneuver yourself across with pinpoint accuracy - and that's hard to do when the character of Griffin is constantly twitching as if he's coming off a sugar rush!

Starting off killing Paladins? Okay, they're the bad guys, I can handle that. Cops show up? Oh, I shouldn't kill them, they haven't hurt me, so I'll avoid them. Wait, I can't avoid them? I have to kill cops to ADVANCE? All right, any respect I had for Griffin is now gone. And this is on level ONE.

Save your money, this one will make you wish you could Jump back to the store you bought it from after the first 10 minutes of playing it.

ANOTHER MASTERPIECE FROM BRASH... 3.5 OUT OF 102
I will admit this game had some cool ideas, and there was a lot of potential in this title to be something great. The problem is, the developer; Collision Studios and publisher; Brash Entertainment didn't really even bother to try to make something good. This game is nothing more than a miserable, lazy, mish-mash of bad design choices. The game is repetitive, boring, and uninteresting.
WHAT THE GAME IS: The story is about a teenager named Griffin, a "jumper" (People who have the ability to teleport) whose parents were murdered and now he's seeking revenge against the "paladins" (People who hunt jumpers) who killed his parents. The game is a third-person action/adventure title. Unfortunately, despite the cool comic-style presentation in the cutscenes, the storyline never gets used to any of its potential, and ends up being a retread you've seen before in far better games.
GRAPHICS: Not too bad, not too good. The game is a cel-shaded title, and I really like how the characters looked in cel-shading (Even if the enemies were repetitive in designs). However, the environments are boring, drab, and uninspired. These are the kind of level designs you would normally see in a game made a decade or more ago. The environments are never interesting to look at, even when they throw you in places like China or Japan, it still looks boring.
MUSIC: Sounds sort of like something you'd here in a super hero film, but it's not that good. The musical score is boring and never entices any excitement, as a super hero game should.
SOUND: The actors themselves weren't bad, but the dialogue is. Most of the sound effects consist of you killing enemies with your weapons or even guns from enemies. This area isn't too bad, but it could have been done better.
GAMEPLAY: This is where the experience falls apart. The combat is a chaotic mess, because during combat, Griffin will randomly teleport all over the place as you press the X or Square button to attack, while occasionally using a more powerful attack with the circle button. The game has a poor difficulty level. You know you've got design flaws when enemies with shock prods are tougher to kill than the bosses themselves. Most of the game has you killing random thugs... ENDLESSLY through six levels and then fight a boss. By the time I finished the game, I had killed more than 500 enemies, and the levels aren't very long, they just make you kill lots and lots of enemies. There's little in the way of puzzle-solving, outside of using your teleporting move. To do this; use the right analog stick and aim, then press R1 to make him move there. You can only move there if it's highlighted in white. The teleporting technique is amusing and cool for a few minutes, before the novelty wears off and you realize it actually sucks.
OVERALL: Don't buy this game. It's not the worst game I've ever played. Hell, it's not even awful enough to be put on my ten worst games list. But it still sucks and is a perfect example of how a cool idea (When improperly used) can go so wrong. Want a cool cel-shaded title? Go play XIII (Xbox, PS2, GC, PC) or Killer 7 (PS2, GC).
THE GOOD: The cel-shaded characters, comic book-style cutscenes, some moment when the gameplay seems cool.
THE BAD: Boring and repetitive gameplay, ugly environments, bad difficulty balance, uninteresting music, and a poorly written storyline.

    Worst Video Game Ever5
In The Words Of Comic Book Guy From The Simpsons WORST VIDEO GAME EVER IT SUCKED MORE THE Suck Can Suck It Super Sucked Dont even rent it from blockbuster to even try it save your money i could make a better game than this and im 12.

    Looks almos the same5
Does the job but since its so weak it came broken No answer from the seller yet.

    This sucks big time.1
The first thing, I have a problem with was price. It was suppose to be $0.99 each. I paid for two of them and I had to pay $10.00 for S&H. Then they shipped it using DHL. I order a item the same day and I got that a long time a go. USPS is way better then DHL. The end result is, I didn't get my battery cover yet and I very unhappy. I don't blame DHL, but I blame Eforcity for using them. And making me pay more then I was suppose too. I will never buy from them again. I don't recommend Eforcity for nothing. and If I don't get my items soon, I want my money back.

    Battery Door5
I recently came across a used psp for forty bucks, the only problem is it didn't include the battery door with the unit. So of course, I resorted to duct tape for a quick fix. Well turns out the psp freezes from time to time. So I opt for a battery door. I go to amazon and boom, five bucks with shipping and handling, awesome! To make a long story short. Nice move!!!

Mindless and fun dinosaur hunting game4
Ok, I just started this game a little bit ago and have been playing it for about 30 minutes. For the lack of any more information on it, I did want to let others' know what to think of the game. This is definitely not award winning acting, or award winning gaming at all, but it sure is fun for dinosaur lovers. Decent 1080p graphics, but nowhere near Uncharted 2 or some other games but I'm sure it didn't cost near what those were to make in money and timeless programmer hours. The FPS gameplay is simple run and gun dino hunting. The load times are a bit long, but I really don't care, I love to hunt the dinos. Story? WGAS. I sure don't. Leave the stories to Uncharted 2, Batman, Juarez and the like. No really good one here, but it does make it kind of cheesy fun the way they did it. I didn't expect much from this seemingly last minute release, but its a blast and the dinosaurs look good and its a bit of a challenge but not too hard for an old 41 year old gamer like me. I do only have a few minutes in and I'll update this if there is more later. Sure is better than Turok, at least to me. (Lots more dino action)

Next day update. I don't write very many reviews, but this game seems to be getting such little attention I feel compelled to get info out there because I love FPS's and dinosaurs. I only played the JP games on Sega Genesis. Back to this game. If you are into "realism" and hard core graphics and great stories, give this game a pass. There are many graphical flaws and other low-budget game type of problems and mistakes. Slow loading times are a stand out annoyance, but I'll stick with my 5 star fun review and 4 star overall review. There are lots of guns to find and some magazine upgrades to find, lots of the same dinosaurs to kill and B-movie, or even C-movie acting and story telling. (if there really is a story) But this game should satisfy the dinosaur FPS fan. Its gotten a little more difficult at times but that is good and makes for a good challenge. The checkpoint times are done fairly well, but I have found myself re-doing some of the same mission kills after dying, so, just don't die. Well, some might want to wait until there is a larger price drop, but who knows when that will be. For the dino fan, it should be worth it and there is much more to come because it seems that I'm still early into the game. Hopefully it won't be too short.

Final edit: It didn't take long to beat this game and I'm not that good at games. I do hope that the developers really work at a sequel and putting a story together for the next one, if there is one. I think there is a huge market for something like this if its really done well. Like, instead of finding voice actors for minimum wage like this one, get some good ones. And, gameplay, gameplay and more gameplay. This one is ok but its so clearly a low budget game. Well, I took off one star and ended up with a 3 star and 4 stars for fun.

    Jurassic: The Hunted3
Let me begin by saying how difficult it is to review this title. As I highly anticipated it's eventual price-drop from it's initial $50 bucks I could not have for-seen the thankfulness for doing so. I did some basic research into this title beforehand and discovered numerous other reviews stating "okay for a budget title" so being fairly new to the PS3-esque world I did not know what "budget title" for this system meant with other games being so awesome.
The reviewers were right. While not a "bad" game by any means it DOES manage to disappoint. Graphics are a bit choppy to the point where they remind me of very early "high graphics" titles for PC back in the original Need For Speed days. Graphics aside, dinosaur variety was also sorely a miss. You maybe see 3 species in abundance. Keep in mind however that these are the ONLY enemies that you are fighting. Example, walking walking walking, then something pops out of the bushes that is supposed to resemble a Raptor (forget anything you think you know about how they look, this ISNT it), shoot it, walking walking walking, random gun laying around. You know how you play multiplayer games and there's no one else on the same map so it's just you running around doing nothing and collecting odd weapons? That's exactly what this game feels like. Gampeplay is extremely linear. You-must-walk-this-path-and-do-this-specific-action. If you're thirsty for random dinosaur action/bloody violence, Turok is your best bet by far.

    Decent Bargain priced title3
One of the main reasons I bought this game was to satisfy my own curiosity about it. I could find almost no official reviews anywhere and some sites had completely different titles and box art. I guess that can be somewhat expected from a totally under the radar budget title that was revealed like a month before release. Basically this game is a mashup of the new soldier of fortune and the newer cabela games (i read that it was developed by the same team who did soldier of fortune and in fact i believe some of the weapon models are compeletely recycled from that game) and the ability to see the dinosaurs organs as you shoot them in slow motion is taken from the newer cabela games. This game took me about three and a half hours to play through and in that playthough I got all but one of the trophies (play through on the hardes difficulty which is unlocked by beating the game once) there is no online multiplayer, only a weird base defense mode that seems suited for online co-op or even split screen for that matter considering the multiple entrances you have to protect but it is entirely single player with online leaderboards. So the game has very short legs you could easily 100% this game in less than 24 hours and there is not much to come back to , but the price is right and its a decent playthrough, just don't expect to be wowed unless its by the incredibly bad voice acting.
